Reiki energy resides in every one of us.   Each of us can learn to
 
use this abundant life force as a relaxation technique, to reduce


stress, and in healing.  Not only can the Reiki practitioner use this


loving energy for his or her own self-improvement but also in


helping others while never depleting his or her own energy. 



The practice of Usui Reiki has its origins in Japan.  Reiki energy is


very powerful, very nurturing, and brings a sense of peace to


the stressful issues we all are confronted with in our daily lives.


Becoming a Reiki Master is not simply acquiring a


certificate but a way of life - a path.



Hence, Reiki for Life.



Reiki  is not  a religion.



Although Reiki is not a substitute for conventional medicine, it
 
never does harm and is used in conjunction with many medical
 
therapies.  Reiki practitioners can be found in  hospitals,


cancer clinics, hospices, nursing homes, pain clinics, etc.




My name is Betty Barnes and I am a Registered Karuna Reiki


Master / Teacher of  Usui Reiki, up to and including Karuna Master


Level.  I am a member of  the International Association of Reiki


Professionals and the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.  



Classes and sessions are held in Cedar Park (north of Austin), Texas and the surrounding area. 


Classes are available on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
